As artistes, it is necessary to delve into the depth and implied meaning of our Indian scriptures and mythological tales alongside the literal meaning. Interpreting and understanding this plays a large role in portraying the same in our art forms. With this in mind, we have planned a monthly interactive lecture series by Devdutt Pattanaik.
Devdutt Pattanaik is a renowned Indian mythologist, speaker, illustrator and author, known for his writing on Hindu sacred lore, legends, folklore, fables and parables. His work focuses largely on the areas of religion, mythology, and management. We will discuss various topics starting with the Vedas/Puranas, Guru, Ganesha, Krishna, Shiva, Vishnu, Devi, and many more. We will work on selected popular compositions written by various sages and poets in an effort to get a different perspective to Indian Mythology as it applies to our art forms.
